Creating & Running Competitions

You will find ideas for running competitions at your school on the website throughout the year so be sure to check here regularly for new ideas. Why not try inventing your own ideas for a competition and tell us about them so that we can put them on the website and tell other JRSO’s?

Tips for creating a competition

Think of a theme – write a poem, design a poster or create your own wordsearch.
Think about the age of children that the competition is designed for. (Ask your teacher for help)
Don’t make the competition too difficult.
Ask everyone to put their name and class on each entry.

Remember to order prizes from the Road Safety Team and allow two weeks for these to be delivered.

We are also happy to supply prizes for any competitions you run. You can order prizes from the website on the prizes page, or send an email, telephone or send a letter. however you must leave plenty of time for prizes to be delivered to you.

Don’t forget to make a note of the competitions you are running in your activity book!
