Congratulations to six year old Isaac Taylor from Foxton Primary School in Market Harborough. The competition to design a Road Safety Banner was run by local promotional products and school uniform company Recognition Express Leicestershire.

The Junior Road Safety Officers for Foxton Primary School and their Head Teacher Mr Phillip Clark attended one of our JRSO Open Evenings held in October where they obtained information about the competition.
Isaac won a printed banner of his design for display at the school to encourage traffic to slow down, as well as a special Star Award for his achievement. The school also received a supply of high visibility drawstring bags and Star Writer pencils for all pupils.
Mike Wilson and Helen Simpson from Road Safety Education attended a Presentation Assembly held at St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School, Market Harborough to present Phoebe Edwards with her prize. The prize was a voucher for £200, kindly sponsored by Halfords and a Star Rider Bag and cycling accessories donated by The Travel Choice and Access Team.
Phoebe attended one of the JRSO Open Evenings in October and posted her entry along with over 200 other Junior Road Safety Officers.
Phoebe’s winning tag line “txt whilst crossing = coffin” will shortly be printed on a supply of mobile phone screen wipes and is designed to remind children of the dangers of using their mobile phone whilst crossing the road.
Thank you to Mrs McVea and the pupils at St Joseph’s for letting us attend your Achievement Assembly.
